About Apna Area Dekho
Choosing where to live in an Indian city is mostly guesswork. Listing portals describe the flat, not the area — and the things that actually shape daily life, like water supply, power backup, security, parking and how far the nearest school or market is, are learnt only after moving in. Apna Area Dekho exists to make that information public.
How it works
Residents first
Ratings and written reviews come from people who live in an area, not from listings or brokers. Every review is tied to an account.
Area, not property
We describe what living somewhere is like — maintenance, water and power, safety, parking, commute and daily convenience — rather than selling a flat.
Moderated content
New reviews and photos are queued for moderation before they appear publicly, so pages stay useful and fair to residents and developers.
Structured coverage
Content is organised as state, city, locality and place, which keeps URLs stable and makes new cities a data-only addition.
Where we are today
We are starting with Faridabad, Haryana — its planned sectors, NIT blocks, colonies and the newer Greater Faridabad belt. The same structure extends to any city, so new areas are added as data rather than as new code. Content shown in this early version is illustrative and will be replaced by verified resident submissions as they come in.
